From Lamborghini comes the latest, greatest, and now last V10 Lamborghini to leave the factory. Sitting in between the hardcore Huracan STO and the slightly tamer Evo, the Tecnica showcases true Lamborghini design and passion, and a slight hint of madness, to bring the iconic Huracan model line to a sad yet triumphant end.
At its heart, the 631bhp 5.2L V10 engine, taken straight from the STO, not only provides enough power to satisfy even the fastest of drivers, but a soundtrack for the ages. With a raw and characteristic screech, the Huracan Tecnica is one of the greatest sounding V10s on the market – reminiscent of good old days of analogue supercars. Unmistakeably Lamborghini, the visceral exhaust note gives even more depth and feeling to the drive, if it wasn’t exciting enough. With a 0-62mph time of 3.2 seconds, and a top speed of over 200mph, you will never feel like you are running out of performance. In the Tecnica, you are limited only by your own bravery, so dare to push hard and you will be rewarded handsomely.
Whilst this may feel like an unhinged race car let loose on the public roads, the Tecnica works hard behind the scenes to keep you in check, even when driving at the absolute limit. Thanks to the Lamborghini Dinamica Veicolo Integrata (LDVI) system and a traction control system unique to the Tecnica, the car stays predictable yet dynamic, without the feeling of unnatural intervention. This is a car you can drive with the traction off, reaping the benefits of the thrill and exhilaration, whilst remaining comfortable in the knowledge that you are in safe hands.
The Tecnica is a fitting send off for the Lamborghini V10 supercar – a gentle reminder of how far the line-up has come. Starting with the Gallardo, the V10 range is what used to be described as an “entry-level” performance car – now it has grown into perhaps the rawest, most visceral Lamborghini on the market.
